The Oldest Candy Factory in the Region
The Šumi story began in 1876 in Ljubljana, when Franc Schumi opened his first confectionery craft and laid the foundations for the oldest Slovenian candy brand. Through decades of visionary leadership and innovations—such as introducing gummy candies as early as 1888—the company evolved from a small workshop into a modern, internationally renowned factory.
Today, Šumi proudly celebrates an extraordinary heritage of nearly 150 years of bringing sweetness to countless generations at home and abroad. With iconic brands like Fru Fru and Visoki C, it remains a symbol of quality that blends traditional recipes with modern flavors. Their story continues successfully into the future.
